“Facing challenges and moving into the future” is the theme of NZMOA’s 2021 Marina & Boatyard Conference to be held in Picton and Nelson from 8-10 September.

The line up of expert and industry presenters will focus on:

  • An in depth look at challenges and opportunities faced by facilities that are redeveloping and expanding

  • Lessons learnt about the planning process by those undertaking new developments and expansions

  • Sustainability in marina developments and operations

  • Disposal and recycling of old pontoons and used marina supplies

  •  Local government reps focus on marina and boat yard assets

  • Our industry’s role in marine biosecurity

Networking

Across breaks, meals and lunch the conference will provide three days of networking opportunities where you can mix with other members including associate members to share knowledge and experiences, and view new products and initiatives. At the end of Day One you will even enjoy a dinner at a remote location in the Marlborough Sounds.

We visit five marina operations

Travelling by bus and by boat we will visit Picton Marina, Waikawa Marina and Hardstand (including the extension site), Havelock Marina, Nelson Marina and Hardstand. If time allows relevant developments we will also visit the Port of Picton and the Port of Nelson.
