The NZMOA Boatyard Operations Course

NZMOA brings boatyard operators together for training opportunities several times a year

The NZMOA Boatyard Operations Course has been developed for those already working in the boatyard environment. It is designed to increase the knowledge of, and create robust discussion about industry best practices.

This course will outline procedures required to safely operate heavy lift machinery and will give confidence to the operators of this machinery who will then go back to their individual yards with enough knowledge to be able to work through a practical assessment task book, that when completed and signed off by a competent supervisor, will lead to certification in Boatyard Operations.

It will allow those who are still new to the industry to get up to speed with these industry practices and develop a knowledge of customer service and contractor requirements.

For those who are long serving in the industry this a chance to refresh those areas that may have become grey and to get rid of some old bad habits that inevitably creep in over the years.
